INTRODUCTION:
The Government of Maharashtra under Central Governement's guidelines conducted a Survey to enlist the BPL families in the State. So, such a survey in Walwa & Miraj block (Campaign area) reveal that 12300 families are living below the poverty line.
Based on the declared list of BPL families by State Government an indepth socio-economic survey conducted under the Campaign, to assess their needs, requirements & expectations.
STATUS OF BPL FAMILIES: (9466 families)
1. Categorisation of the Families:
Based on the socio-economic conditions & other parameters the families are categorised in A, B & C categoris, A being well to do families, B being poor class & C being very poor.
