Q. !.: What is the Jayant Poverty Eradication Campaign?

Jayant Poverty Eradication Campaing is an innovative project to bring comprehensive development of the families Below the Poverty Line (BPL) in Walwa & Miraj blocks of Sangli district (Maharashtra).  Under this we would like to guide, help & support totally 12300 families which are registered with Maharashtra Government as BPL families in the area. 

 Q. 2: What is the difference between the Organisation & the Campaign?

Campaign is a participatory process for the sustainable development of the target populattion (BPL) in specified area.  Activie partcipation of the target community at every stage has to be sought, so that the people will develop confidence that they can bring positive change in their lives.  So, its results & output depend on the strategic planning & implementation process of the Campaign.  While the project is a time bound activity, with limited goal.  Generally it is aimed at dealing with specified issue of the target group. 

The Organisation (NGO) is established to serve the people with a set of objectivies.  Its activities are supposed to be based on the objectives specified, and there may or may not be active participation of the people or target groups.
